Sunshine Coast Australia Zoo Transfers: How to Get There

The Sunshine Coast Australia Zoo is an exciting, family-oriented adventure that’s great fun for kids of all ages, but the only problem with visiting it is actually getting there. Thankfully, this zoo offers transfers from most major cities in Queensland and New South Wales so that you don’t have to worry about getting lost or stuck in traffic on your way to its incredible collection of animals from around the globe. Just follow these instructions to make sure you get there safely, enjoyably and on time!

Location of the Zoo

Getting around the Sunshine Coast can be confusing, but one of the easiest ways is by using a company that specializes in Zoo transfers. SkyDrive Transfers offers affordable and reliable transportation services that will take you anywhere on the Sunshine Coast. The company has over 25 years of experience and they are experts when it comes to getting families, groups and individuals around without a hitch. They offer 24/7 phone assistance so you can schedule your transfer ahead of time or change your pickup location at the last minute with no issue.

How to Get There by Public Transport

For people not renting a car, there are a few ways of getting from Brisbane airport or the Sunshine Coast train station to the zoo.

The first is by SkyDrive Transfers, which offers pick up and drop off service at any location on the Sunshine Coast. A one-way trip from the airport costs $35 per person and will take about an hour depending on traffic conditions.

Alternatively, if you are coming from Brisbane Airport, you can catch the Airtrain bus which will take 45 minutes and cost $13.50 per person each way.

Those coming from Brisbane train station can catch the hourly bus service (costing $6.00) that takes around 90 minutes but offers more departures in both directions than either of these options.

How to Get There by Car

If you’re driving, there are many ways to get to the Sunshine Coast Australia Zoo. The quickest route would be Hwy 1, with a scenic stop at Glasshouse Mountains National Park. If you’re not up for the drive, SkyDrive Transfers offers door-to-door service from Brisbane or Maroochydore Airport. With their in-car WiFi and comfortable seats, it’s like riding in your own private jet!

If you’re flying into Brisbane or Maroochydore Airport, SkyDrive will pick you up at the terminal curb and transfer you directly to the zoo within 60 minutes of your flight arrival time. They’ll also pick up your luggage for free and drop it off at your accommodation in Noosa Heads if needed.

Parking at the Zoo

The Sunshine Coast Australia Zoo is easy enough to find, just a short drive from Maroochydore. Just make sure you get there early because parking fills up fast and it’s a pretty big zoo with plenty of space for the kids.

There are two main ways of getting there, either by SkyDrive Transfers (our favorite) or via public transportation. We’ve found that if we use SkyDrive Transfers, we can park at the zoo and transfer right on in. The parking attendant tells us where our car will be parked when we return and they take care of everything else. It’s nice not having to worry about anything while you’re busy enjoying your day with the family!

Admission Prices

The admission prices for the Sunshine Coast Australia Zoo are $60.00 for adults and $45.00 for children aged 3-15 years old. The adult price is $10 cheaper than the adult admission price at their sister zoo, the Dream world Entertainment Complex which has a cost of $70 per person.

The SkyDrive transfer is a one way transfer service from Brisbane’s CBD (Central Business District) to the Sunshine Coast or from Brisbane’s CBD to either of our two major airports, Brisbane International Airport (BNE) or Coolangatta Airport (OOL).

At each location there are kiosks that will guide you through booking your transfer and provide an instant quote for your fare.
