Digital Seva Portal provides various electronic governance and business services through digital mediums to the rural and remote citizens of the country. It is a pan-India network that reflects regional, geographical, linguistic, and cultural diversity. It also empowers society socially, economically, and digitally. CSCs provide citizens with improved governance, social services, financial services, education and training courses, health and agriculture services, digital literacy, B2C services, and access to e-services.
What is CSC Digital Seva Portal?
Digital India Program is a program launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to promote digital media and technology across the country. To make the Digital India Program a complete success, the Central Government has set up Common Services Centers (CSCs).
Digital Seva Common Services Center is an online portal that provides citizens access to various government services. CSC e-governance is a portal developed by the Ministry of Electronics Information Technology, India. Indian citizens can use the portal to apply online for various certificates, government services, banks, and insurance services.

Agriculture Sector and Farming
The agriculture sector is mainly for the needs and betterment of farmers. CSC Agri platform has specially designed for agriculture. Village Level Entrepreneurs and Farmer Producer Organizations can buy multiple brands of farm equipment and products, sell agricultural products, provide soil surveys, and provide remote consultation on agriculture and livestock products. Moreover, farmers can rent any equipment for farming and take bank loans through this portal.
Aadhar Services
CSC provides mobile updates and other facilities under the Aadhar service of the Apna CSC portal. In the last five months, more than 10,000 Village Level Entrepreneurs have used this service to renew their mobile numbers or email IDs on Aadhaar, and 1.5 million people have changed their residence. You can update your mobile phone number and email ID in the Aadhaar database from a biometric device (finger or iris). Once the biometric is successful, your mobile phone number or any information you want to change will have updated within 72 hours.
Banking and Pension Services
A major cause of backwardness in rural areas is the lack of digital financial literacy. Digital Seva launched a digital financial service to support India’s cashless economy by registering 100 lakh citizens and enabling 25 lakh small businesses under this program. In rural areas, banking services such as; deposit, withdrawal, bank balance inquiry, bank statement, time deposit accounts, bank transfer, personal loans, general-purpose credit cards, and Kisan credit cards are provided under CSC Portal. It has affiliated with around 42 public and private service sectors and local/regional banks.

Through digital education services, people can get education from their homes.
Some of the services offered under this are:
Digital Literacy-
This service sponsors a computer course that enhances the IT skills of ASHA and Anganwadi-certified cardholders. An investor awareness program and a NABARD financial literacy program have also been made available to the rural citizens of India.
Adult Literacy-
Under this service, reading, speaking, writing, and listening programs are provided by Tara Akshar.
NIOS Service-
under this service, the National Institute of Open Schooling offers various facilities, including student registration, examination fee payment, result declaration, etc.
NIELIT Services-
National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology provides online exam form submission, online registration/fee collection, and exam printing services.
MKCL services-
Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited offers a variety of specialized and technical courses in online mode.

For the convenience of citizens, various Government Services such as Birth/ Death Certificates, Forms Download and Submission, Property Tax and Registration, Bus Pass, Railway Ticket, Passport, License, Permit, and Subsidies, are provided by CSC centers in one place.

How to register for CSC or Digital Seva?
To register at CSC Digital Seva Portal, follow these steps:
- Visit the Digital Seva Portal registration site ‘https://register.csc.gov.in/’
- Click on the VLE Registration button.
- You will see a new registration page.
- Select your desired application type.
- Enter your mobile number.
- Confirm captcha code.
- After that, the next step for the application form will appear.
- Enter the required details.
- Upload documents for verification.
- Click on Next and then click on the Send button.
- Now your form is submitted.
