The letter grades used by FBISD and other K-12 districts remain elusive to many parents. For example, without a grade list and your child’s report card, how are you supposed to know what your child’s grade level is? However, as a parent of a student who attends FBISD Skyward Academy and is currently enrolled in the ninth grade, I wanted to share with you some ways for you to access your student’s grades on FBISD Skyward.
One way for you to verify that the grades shown on the Skyward Academy portal are accurate is through the Parent Portal.
Benefits Of FBISD Skyward:
For parents who have students who are enrolled at the skyward fbisd Academy, you will now be able to check your child’s grades online. The great thing about the Parent Portal is that it allows you to:
Check your student’s attendance and tardy statistics
See what equipment you are enrolling your student in
View each individual assignment grade or check the assignment grade report status
Access information on your student’s upcoming schedule and class assignments (schedule blocks) through the planner tool. This planner provides a weekly view of homework, projects, tests and quizzes in each class.
How To transfer FBISD Skyward:
To get started, you will need to have the 12-digit student ID number. If you do not have that information, you can find it on your child’s FBISD report card. Now go to the Skyward Parent Portal and click “Sign In” in the top right corner of the screen. If you are a parent for another district and currently have access to another district website, you can use your user name and password to login with that username and password. For example, if I was a parent in El Paso ISD and had access to EPISD Skyward website, I would use my EPISD username and password to log into the Skyward Parent Portal.

For parents enrolled at fbisd skyward, here is what you can look forward to:
This is a new feature for Skyward Parent Portal. With the new feature, parents can communicate with their child’s teacher and see feedback on student assignments. This allows teachers to easily communicate with parents through the Parent Portal’s messaging tool. This will help teachers provide “real life” feedback on assignments instead of students just receiving grades based on the work they are required to complete. It will also allow students an opportunity to work toward “grades,” and in turn, students who strive for this goal can improve their skills as they move through their education pathway.

-The ability to view the grades of your students in one centralized location
-The ability to select multiple students for viewing their grades
-The capability to review/grade assignments
-To provide a student with feedback on their progress report
Here’s How You Can Access Your Student’s Grades On FBISD Skyward:
- Click the tab at the top right of your screen that says “FBISD Skyward”
- Enter or search for a student’s name in the top search bar or click on any icon in the left sidebar
- Click “View Student’s Grade” at the bottom of the page
- Click “Listen” at the top of the page to hear a student’s grade
- Click “Grade” towards the bottom, then select which assignment you would like to view
- Press “Next” on a specific assignment
- Review assignment and make notes on what you would like to accomplish with that student
- Submit your notes by clicking “Grade Report”, or go back and make changes until your deadline date.
