In the initial book of this series Ellie Baldwin, a former exotic dancer signs on as the assistant of Pastor Noah Kincaid to gain the custody for her children. She hopes to regain control of her children and to become an even better wife and mother. Noah however, is a mother of two children and a rescue dog named Lucy. Paul Haggerty, a retired Army Blackhawk pilot from Seattle who is seeking to take in the child who was rescued. While at it, Jillian Matlock, a former Air Force sweetheart, wants an opportunity to reunite with her ex-husband , and the chance to start a new job.
If you love reading about characters’ turbulent relationship, you might enjoy this Virgin River book series. The novels are a fantastic opportunity to learn about the sex lives of the characters and understand the motives which lead to such shocking situations. The show has also been made into a TV series that is more dramatic and kid-friendly. The first season and two on Netflix.
You might not be aware however, these books include lots of romantic scenes that are rated R and even PG-13. This is especially true when you are listening to the book via audio. While most male characters are ex-military in their late 30s characters, there are some older men and silver foxes who appear in the series too. If you’re not an avid reader of love scenes for PG-13 it will be a difficult time finding a book that is in this genre.
